Good Luck to our Swim Team

Good luck to our Swim Team who have been training hard over the last few weeks. Today they will compete in the Inter School Swimming Carnival. Looking forward to hearing about their day !

Clean Up Australia

Congratulations to all our students who participated in Clean Up Australia Day by cleaning up our school ! The students did a great job and also learnt about  the different types of waste we collected and how we best dispose of it.

Welcome Back

We look forward to welcoming back staff, students and families next week. Classes start for all children prep- Year 6 on Thursday 30th January. The school office is open from Tuesday 28th January. 

Merry Christmas

Wishing all our families a happy and holy Christmas Season and a safe New Year.

Carols Night

What a beautiful evening we had Monday night ! Thank you to all our classes who led us in Carols and Christmas songs. We also had performances from our guitar and keyboard students and presented our  Year 6 students with their Graduation Bears. A visit from Santa was also exciting.

Year 3/4 Camp to Mill Valley

Our 3/4 students attended camp for the first time and they had a great experience. Horse riding was a highlight as was the crate building and raft making. Thanks to the staff at Mill Valley who provided such excellent care, food and facilities. Great fun had by all ! 

World Food Food

In recognition of World Food Day, our students donated cans of food to "feed the world". In this case it will help to feed  many people through the Joey's Food Van which operates through St Joseph's Springvale. They are celebrating 20 years of service this year and feed over 200 people a week. 

Year 6 trip to Canberra

Our Year 6 students had an amazing week in Canberra visiting Paliament House, Governement House, High Court, Questacon, AIS, War Memorial, National Museum, Royal Australian Mint, Telstra Tower, National Gallery, Museum, National Arboretum, Old Parliament House and Reconciliation Place. 


Beauty and the Beast Production

Oh What A Night! Our children amazed us with their outstanding efforts on the stage! Every child had their moment to shine led so beautifully by our very talented main cast. An enormous thank you to Cath McCallig who directed our school through this very rewarding experience for children and staff.

Book Week at SJV

Always a great day on our calendar ! On Thursday our children got to see a performance by a theatre group who have a show based on the short listed books for the year and on Friday all our students came dressed up as their favourite book chararters. 


Congratulations Jacinta !

Jacinta has been training hard and made it through to the State Championships for Cross Country. Today she has finsihed 15th in the State. What a star ! Congratulations Jacinta !
