What a great start we have had at SJV. Our preps have settled well and we cant wait to see what the year will bring!
Our 5/6 students attended Hoop Time and our All Stars team have made it through to Regional Finals. Congratulations to all our senior students who represented our school and had a great day improving their basketball skills at the same time.
What a night! Our students and staff produced an amazing show. Such great talent on dislay to a packed house. Thank you to Drew Lane for his vision, energy and creative flair and to every one of our children for their enthusiastic performances.
Happy Fathers Day to all our wonderful dads. The children had the opportunity to buy gifts at our stall and the dads got a bacon and egg breakfast at school and the chance to catch up over a coffee.
We are all so excited to present our School Musical "Galactic Idol". The children and staff are working hard practicing songs, helping with sets and props and making costumes. Tickets are on sale now!
We had a wonderful day celebrating our Feast Day. We invited our Grandparents to school to join in the fun. They came into our classrooms, we all went to Mass and then had morning tea in the MPR. The photo booth was a great hit. Thank you to all the grandparents and special friends who joined us.
Book Week was lots of fun! We had our Book Fair open all week, we had a visit from Felice Arena who is the author of Besties and Specky Magee and we had our Dress Up Day. Wasn't hard to spot our "Where's Wallys" !
Congratulations to our Year 6 students who were confirmed last Sunday. Bishop Anthony Ireland was so engaging with our students on Sunday and the week before when he came to visit. Thank you to Fr Cameron Forbes and our REL Kerry Slater for all their work in preparation for this special day.
We were blessed with beautiful weather when we gathered on Tuesday evening for some pizza and fun with the prep, 1, 2 families. Thanks to everyone who came along.
Our children had an amazing session provided by SEDA developing their cricket skills yesterday while having lots of fun. Our mums then provided a great hot dog lunch. A great way to finish the term. Thanks so much to the mums who organised this.
Our students had an amazing day with Andrew Chinn participating with such joy, enthusiam and energy giving praise to our God through music and singing. We are so fortunate to have our very own Drew Lane (Performing Arts teacher) who works with Andrew, able to join him for these workshops.
Congratulations to our Swim Team who have trained so hard and represented us today at the District Swimming. You are all stars. Well done !
